These two images are showing the view from the bridge, but also how wide it is.  This bridge was one of only 7 crossings of the colorado River within hundreds of miles.  So it was used by truckers and tourasts alike.  This is now a foot bridge but you can see how narrow it was.

Yes this was a two lane road for crossing the river.
