The baby pine
Your baby pine will live on the patio for a while. He is being moved to a much larger pot for a while and set where he will get lots of sun.
Can you tell me exactly what kind of pine he is? There are lots of pines here in the Phoenix are but if I knew his 'name' it would help me to research exactly what I need to do to help him survive and thrive in the desert.
I don't know but I'll find out. I discovered two more (only two inches tall) in the pots that hold the jasmine by the front door. I thought they were just some new plant (grass-like) whenI first saw it about two weeks ago and then yesterday I looked again and _voila- they were minature pine sprouts!
I don't know how the got started there.
